This pissed me off so I went inside and grabbed my phone and came outside, I didnt have anyone on the line but I wanted to prove that anyone can be a complete asshole and I said "Hey man whats up, oh really thats cool, well do we got those cameras on my property ready to go? I have this crazy *** neighbor and if he steps foot on my property I want him prosecuted and thrown in jail" I came back inside and told my roommate that I just did it and that the cops would be knocking at our door in like 10 minutes......... 15 minutes later knock knock guess who? the cops? YOU BET! almost right on time too, why does this crazy **** think he can call our tax dollars in uniform every time his panties get in a bunch? We were burgled a couple of years back. We gave statements which detailed the stuff that had been taken, mainly jewellery. Some stolen property was retrieved via a pawn broker, we weren't told exactly what, and how much . We were told by the sergeant dealing with the case that it would be used as evidence in court. The burglar was prosecuted and served time, and the the investigation seems to have concluded. We have made a number of enquires as to when we would get our stuff back and originally told that it would be retained in case of any appeal etc. I have made recent enquiries since then; however, now we have been told that there is no trace. It seems they have no record of what evidence they held and it may have been lost in the system. I am considering some kind of complaint, but what happens in a scenario such as this, is there any kind of compensation for this? I was please the police nailed him, but It seems a bit wrong when the lad who done it is now walking round town still on drugs and will likely commit a similar crime again to feed his habit. Alot of the jewellery had sentimental value more than anything.

Can the district attorney/ state press new charges based on prior charges that were dismissed?

I recently discovered I have a warrant issued for me in another state. I called the warrant dept in that state and was told I'm being charged with harassment. Apparently in 09 my ex filed a complaint with the local authorities for harassment which is completely false. The only reason she did it was due to the fact she found out I was with someone else and wasn't to happy about it. She keeps apologizing and saying she didn't mean for it to go that far. I also found out the only probable cause the P.D and D.A. have for this case is from a domestic case between her and I in 2007. That case was dismissed by the judge and wasn't even in the same state I have the warrant in now. My question is can the D.A. press charges and issue a warrant based on a different case...is that considered probable cause? Or am I screwed and need a lawyer since the state is trying to prosecute now?

Does Getting A Filling Hurt?

I'm 13 years old and just went to the dentist today to get sealant on my 12 year molars... Turns out one has a soft spot in it (or a cavity, I'm not really sure...wasn't paying too much attention) and needs to be filled. I think my parents are going to get the composite fillings, but I don't know the difference other than colour. I looked up if it would hurt or not and all I saw was that they numb it and it doesn't hurt. Except the needle. So how much will this 'needle' hurt?? Enough to make me flinch? I'm a EMT, Will my boss fire me if he finds out I have an arrest record?

When I applied for a job as an EMT, the application asked if I had ever been convicted of any crime, other then minor traffic offenses. I answered no. Because I have never been convicted of a crime. But I did omit(didn't tell them) that I had been arrested on suspicion of DUI 6 years earlier. I was never convicted and never charged with a crime, no action was taken against my drivers license or me in anyway. In fact I have a letter from the DA stating they never have and don't plan on prosecuting me. However an arrest record still exists and can be seen on a FBI or thorough background check. The background check my job did on me was not that thorough. I'm entering a paramedic program in a few months and a FBI background check will be done, which will definitely show the arrest. EMS is a small community and my boss will definitely fine out. How should I proceed? should I tell him now? should I wait until he approaches me. Should I hope he doesn't find out. I am going through the process of getting it expunged before the background check is done, however I don't believe it will be done in time. any advise would be great. Can you clear up some rumors I heard about the USMC?

I heard some crazy stuff about the Marine Corps. I heard from one friend, he got out at like week 3 or something of recruit training, he said he dropped out cause the Drill SGT's or Instructors (I'm not sure what there called, I apologize) hit him like punched him in the head a few times, and threw him around the barracks, and a couple nights he said they came in while everyone was sleeping and tossed there bunks while they were still in them. And a lot of recruits got hurt and they just stood there laughing and yelling. I also heard from somebody that at the rifle range during recruit training he missed a target and the D.I grabbed him and threw him on the ground and grabbed his rifle and hit him in the face with it and told him "every time you miss I hit you". Yes, I think its wrong, its profiling. My kids are too young to be effected, since they cant go to the mall alone yet anyway, but my 17 year old cousins mall is even worse, no one under 18 can be in the mall without a guardian past 4pm, everyday of the week in all stores. sometimes we are told of a disease that we have from our doctors and we do not want to accept it. It will eventually sink in and you will learn how to live with it, most of what you have said sounds like you have fibromyalgia. Get a second opinion from another doctor to run more tests on you but then again there goes the insurance money. My friend has fibromyalgia and she is on disability after fighting and getting a lawyer. I haven't really researched fibromyalgia but I am sure it's a disease associated with a lot of pain in the bones. I am young and was told I have to be on high blood pressure meds and didn't want to accept it. I was put on lisinopril and now I am suffering from a right frozen shoulder, a side effect from lisinopril. I read up on frozen shoulder and it's common in people 50 and up. When I applied for a job as an EMT, the application asked if I had ever been convicted of any crime, other then minor traffic offenses. I answered no. About 2 weeks ago I went into Aspen dental for fillings. I was tolled that I did need a root canal but we agreed that would wait til the end of the month. Can my Child Support be raised even though I am unemployed?

This is actually not about me this is about my fiance. I will make a long story short...He has been unemployed for 7 months now. He was terminated from his position. Does anyone else get sad about how low the UK has become?

What a miserable way to think of our own nation. I'm 38 and yes, this country has changed in many ways since I was a child, but it's often been for the better. I grew up in a slum in the East End of London with no heating or hot water. I spent the first 16 years of my life living in three rooms with 7 other people. That doesn't happen today. As for the immigrants, most of them are white Europeans who are as entitled to live here as we are in mainland Europe. (Two million Britons live in Spain alone and if that isn't mass immigration as far as the Spanish are concerned, I don't know what is). As for our traditions being "long gone" that again is not true. St George's day is celebrated almost everywhere in England and if you go to almost any rural village on May Day there are celebrations galore! (I now live in a rural village). The crime situation concerns me a lot (being a prison officer) and the lack of respect youngsters have for their elders. The figures actually suggest that crime has been falling steadily since the mid 1990s and that we are less violent now than at almost any other time in our history. You need facts, not Daily Mail scare stories. Our nation is not what you think it is (nor as miserable as you obviously are about the situation).

Question about FAFSA?

I filled out my FAFSA in January when I was planning on going to a 4 year in state school. But now that I'm thinking about the costs and everything, I'm considering going to a nearby community college in the fall instead. I hadn't applied there yet, so I never mentioned the CC on my FAFSA. The CC has rolling admissions, so I know I could still apply there, but is there any way I could still get the financial aid I was offered and use it for the CC instead? I know I can't use the institutional aid, but I mean could I still get the same federal grant/loan amounts?

Why are there so many double standards against men. For example, the feminists claim to be for total, unmitigated equality, yet they say men shouldn't hit women even if men are hit first. 2002 Altima Firewall?

I am installing subs in my 02 Altima. I have put subs in numerous cars, yet I cant find any openings. Anyone installed subs in an 02 Altima? One guy told me to go through the wheel well into the fender into the car, one said to run it under the body of the car and drill through the trunk which sounds 100% retarded, and others said to just drill through the firewall. Its an automatic so i was going to drill where the clutch petal would belong but before i do any other ideas? All my cars Ive owned i been lucky to have a rubber boot that you can pull out to have a pre-drilled hole into my car. If you going to say drill through the fire wall any specific drill bits? Or just standard metal drill bit will do.

Why aren't post office staff prosecuted for stealing mail?

I sent my grandson in New Zealand some dollars for his birthday. The package was very securely sealed. It never arrived. I have sent numerous packages to him and he has always received them. Post Office staff would only know what was in the package by scanning it. Obviously then the staff who scanned it saw the dollars and stole them. When I inquired I was told that I should have payed a fee to have it delivered by registered mail. Isn't that extortion? You have to pay so as NOT to get your stuff stolen! An employee of the Post Office scanning department is a criminal thief!

Can anyone give me advice on what my friends may get for a section 18 offence or GBH?

My friends have told me they are innocent, to be honest i believe them i'd like to find out what sort of sentence they are looking at if they are found guilty though (but lets hope they're not). They were supposedly stood outside a teenagers house, the teenager ran out with weapons and started towards my friends, one of then then apparently hit him with a beer bottle which was left at the scene, the other two, i'm told, joined in and hit and kicked the teenager. He sustained some injuries of which included cuts where he needed stitches, bruises and broken ribs. there are apparently three witnesses, one of which was the beaten up teenager, the others are an OAP relative and a close friend, will the witnesses relation to the teenager make any difference in court? also the teenager and his friends knew the attackers names but the elderly relative doesn't but could easily have been shown photos via Facebook/Myspace et, the witnesses have to point out the boys on video line up, if they know them is there any point in this? if so please can you clarify? , what could be the reason for this because the names were given on the same night of the incident. i believe they have the beer bottle but they have said possible fingerprints were found, if they had there fingerprints wouldn't this be enough for a guilty verdict straight away? or are the police allowed to pretend they have the bottle to get a confession? and if they do have the bottle and the prints at the scene could they say it may have been put there by someone else if it has someone else's prints on it as well? since this was a while ago and they denied the offence they stated they could not remember where they were on the night, they also said the usual thing to do on that night was go to town drinking, the place where the incident happened is far away from where they said they were, if they cannot prove they were there can they give a guilty verdict? They have no previous for violent offences and they are all over 18, also what would they be looking at if they were under 18? Finally is there a certain amount of evidence they need to compile to prosecute? The three all have very good solicitors and straight stories. any answers at all would be a great help, but please don't comment if you're just going to moan about what they supposedly did, thanks a lot James.

How can I lock my door?

I just moved into my new house (college student) and I have a problem with my bedroom door. Apparently there's no holes drilled for modern day doorknobs. The house was built in the 1890's and lock/doorknob look like it. The key hole for the seized up lock looks like a "pirate key." I have a chain lock from the inside of my room to lock the door but when I leave my room, I want a way to lock it from the outside. For example when we throw a party, I don't want people in my room. Can I start school while prior loans are in default?

I went to an institutional school in 2006, realized that it wasn'tt for me and dropped out. I was young anddidn'tt take it seriously. Now that Im a little older, I want to seriously continue my education but my loans from my last school are in default. How do I get them out of default long enough to get myself enrolled? Ive already filled out my FAFSA and applied (and been accepted) to my choice college, but cant continue until these are out of default. Any advice is appreciated. Joined the army reserve and haven't gone to army basic yet. Can I opt out?

Here's the deal: I joined the army reserve in may, went to MEPS and signed the contract. I am prior service navy (served 4 years got out in feb 2010 and was in inactive navy reserve till i joined the army reserve) and currently going to college on the post 9/11 G.I. Bill. The army told me that I had to go to army boot camp. I don't mind having to go to boot camp again, however at MEPs they assigned me Aug 01, which cuts out the last 2 weeks of my summer semester at college. I asked the person who wrote my orders if I could change it, and he said that when I get to my unit they could. I went to drill once and asked the sergeant in charge if he could change it. He refused to; his reasoning was that he didnt want to take the risk of me not going. I kept trying to explain to him that it interefered with my school. He didn't budge. What will happen if stop going to drill and don't go to boot camp?
